AIKIDO HAKAMA TONBO STANDARD COTTON BLACK
Product made to order. We do not keep stock.
Hakama sewn from 100% cotton fabric dyed black. The fabric has a raw and distinct twill weave, slightly breathable due to less dense weaving.
Hakama features:
- standard cut with 5 pleats in front and 2 in the back,
- "himo" straps stitched 8 times to prevent deformation and stretching,
- "himo" straps length adjusted for Aikido tying,
- reinforced side vents,
- koshiita made according to Aikido style,
- koshiita stiffened with a rubber plate that deforms when bending for safety during falls,
- front and back of the hakama are the same length,
- two loops sewn inside for hanging the hakama when drying,
- hakama sewn with durable core threads.
All hakamas are offered in several universal sizes based on standard anatomical body builds separately for women and men (detailed size breakdown is provided in the tables below). For the same height of a woman and a man, the women's hakama is longer and narrower. Unlike men who wear hakamas on the hips, women usually tie hakamas at the waist. The women's hakama has a narrower koshiita more fitted to a slimmer body build and a narrower front. It also has shorter straps. The women's cut accounts for a greater difference between waist and hip circumference than that found in the male body build.
If you are concerned that a hakama based on the standard body build will not fit you, we sew hakamas to individual measurements. It is more expensive but will certainly fit your figure much better. If you choose an individual size, when adding the product to the cart, select the "individual" option in the "size" window, then provide your waist, hips, and desired hakama length in the following fields.
