AIKIDO HAKAMA TONBO TC BLACK We do not keep stock of ready products. It is made under an order. Aikido hakama TC is made of mix of 65% polyester and 35% cotton with twill weave. The first component is responsible for the longer maintenance of the hakama pleats, minimizing material shrinkage during washing and abrasion resistance, the second for the naturalness of the fabric. The fabric is slightly stiffer than 100% cotton but more elegant. It's made on the basis of traditional cut with 7 pleats, 5 on the front and 2 on the back. Japanese flip-flops, padded with rice straw matting. The sole is made of a stiff material (which imitates traditional wooden Zori) with skid-proof texture. Straps are made of soft, nice to touch, velour cloth. They are quilted several times to prevent them from stretching. This aikido gi was named Natsu because it was designed especially for very intensive trainings in hot summer days or in warm dojos, where classic aikido gi's with bamboo fabric on top does not prove to be useful because of their thickness and stiffness. The natsu aikido gi is being made based on a cut used for judo gi, but a bamboo fabric on top part is exchanged with a lighter and softer material with very interesting square pattern.
